As a lubricant or as an ingredient in personal lubricants, aloe vera adds hydration and may reduce skin irritation compared to other ingredients. Aloe vera is water-based, so unlike the oils, it's safe to use with condoms. Be mindful of aloe-based products with added ingredients like alcohol meaning if it is not just pure aloe vera.
The downside to having aloe vera in your personal lubricant is that it can be very sticky and could require more clean up. Also some people are allergic or have adverse reactions to aloe vera.
